Just Returned from the Golden Trout Wilderness

I landed a job this summer working with the DFW on a field crew. Our study area is all on the SF Kern River based out of the horseshoe meadows area.

This last 6 days i put over 80 miles on my boots, largest day being 16.8 miles, scrambling up creeks looking for fish and water.

Caught more goldens than i can count, which has been a goal of mine for quite some time.

Water is scary low already, most stringers running dry, and the main running VERY low.

i honestly only took a few fish shots, most were of the hikes and the meadows. ill get a few up on my site here in a few days...
