Last week was a little spotty for me on the Lower Sac. Wind and flow increases didn't help. With that said if you can take your time and do more looking and less fishing you can find some FANTASTIC dry fly action. I have found a couple of spots that consistently hold fish eating on the surface (or just under the surface). These are not the little guys that just don't know better these are the toads!
If you find the right spot the frenzy will literally go on for several hours. In some spots you can easily see hundreds of big trout just milling about eating. Awsome ! The really good news is these fish are not easily put down even after hundreds of bad casts going over their heads they just keep on eating.

Go out there and do some exploring. Look for noses or backs you generally won't see big splashes. When you find them put on a Parachute PMD and have at it !!!!!

Bill there are a couple of windows during the day but the strongest I have found is around 4pm. Its pretty awesome full sun and just a couple feet of water and there are a ton of big fish carelessly eating.
