Fly fishing expert Jeff Putnam makes it look easy.......$110.00/day per angler.
This is a nice private water stream that is not too far from Sacramento.

I grew up on this creek. My grandpa knew the property owner and we would camp out in the meadow (with the cows) get up early and head out on the creek and fish all day. I miss those days with Grandpa. My love for this great sport started here. Wonderful small stream fishing!

Small stream dry fly fishing with a light rod is some of our best......especially when it is good.

I spent 10+ yrs camping approx 45-60 days / season on Devier's property. We'd camp monday - fridays and go home for showers and to take care of the honey do's on the weekends. Jim Crouse and Devier would occassionaly stop in camp for rum and cokes while I was tying up some more bugs in the early afternoons, and the guides used to stop and ask where the big ones were hiding and what were they eating. Once they started the preserve they let me camp and fish for 1 more season even though they'd closed it to camping, but one or 2 of the guides/& or clients grumbled and that came to an end. God, I've got some great memories of that awesome creek and the great folks that own it. I ran into Jim Crouse @ the lake and he mention that both him and Devier miss the old days of stopping by my camp for the rum and cokes and would love it if me and my daughter came out and camped @ the ranch w/ them. Mentioned it to my daughter just last weekend and she'd love to, she camped there from when see was 2 to a teenager
