Next Wednesday we will be holding services for Shig at the Flower Farm in Loomis at 4150 Auburn Folsom Road. It will be a fun atmosphere and Shig's wife is asking that everyone wear bright colors preferably orange since that was Shig's favorite color or Hawaiian shirts or fun print shirts. If you can make it that would be great. It will be a happy atmosphere remembering a person that was loved by all.

If anyone has any pictures of Shig to share, please email them to me at scott.vaughn68@gmail.com, we will be having a slide show. Plus any pictures we can give to his family will be greatly appreciated.

Here's some more of Shig's humor and good nature. Shortly, we'll post a chance to help his family a little bit
and receive a neat book. Shig was a participant in our several ShadCam contests.

I am very sorry to hear about this. He seemed way to young to go now. What happened if you don't mind me asking.

Scott V and all, I am planning on being there. I may bring my guitar and could do a couple songs like i'll fly away, I am a Pilgrim if it seemed appropriate.

I'm sorry I missed this. I never met Shig in person, but we had some dealings through the board. He'll be missed.

Hi Bill. I wanted to introduce myself I was sitting next to the table you and Ed were at. Let's get put some kind of fish out together and people that didn't meet each other or didn't get to go can meet that way. What kind of fishing do you prefer yourself Bill?

Hey Bryan,

Thanks for introducing yourself here. I figured there must have been a lot more board members there than what I know or recognized. My last fishing trip was a float trip on the Yuba. Not somethng we could do as a group though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HLSqFcChx5o. I like all kinds of fishing really and would be open to anything that would work well for a group. Float tubes on Fuller lake might be doable. I haven't been this year but had some success there last year.

I've been away from the board from some time, so I apologize for the tardiness here... Scott and I did a backpack trip together last fall, and it's one I'll never forget. He was ALWAYS enthusiastic, energetic, and just waiting to catch the next fish. What an inspiration! I will miss him.

Wow I just found out about this.
I will miss Shig and his love for the sport and outdoors. Seemed like a great guy who was willing to share his knowledge.
