Long Time No Posts.
I have been guiding in the Delta for the last 2 1/2 months and when the wind cooperates it has been good to great with 15 to 25 fish per rod being the norm. My favorite Feather River is a trickle and dangerous to navigate even in my sled. But on Sunday I moved to the Sac (nasty winds in the Delta) and tried my luck. I just received the new Sage Method 9wt. and after watching a few clients use and rave about it in the Delta last week, it was my turn to throw the "RED ROCKET". I launched the boat and was waiting for my buddy to park, made one cast to get the line out, stretched it good, made one more cast, the rod felt great. Made one more cast as my friend was coming down the ramp to meet me and "wham" Hooked Up !! Best fish of the spring!! The Method is the sweetest stick that I have ever used for throwing sinking line for stripers. Love the RED.
