Baja Fly Fisher

Today Steve and Joan were on their game. Shortly after arriving at their location, Joan hooked up on a nice dorado on a ballyhoo fly she tied up. A 22lb Personal Best for Joan. She had a second dorado following, steve made a cast and doubled up. Joan has been tying only a month or two but she's doing quite well. They both have had dorado everyday.
Steve also caught a 13lb pompano south of Muertos
Jon Gerkin from Alaska hooked into his first rooster fish (photo to followP

Jay, to hell with the pics of Steve, post a pic of the fly. Doug sent an email and said even though its slow they are having a blast. I wish I was there. A slow day there is so much better than hanging around the house recovering from back surgery. The Hubers are coming over this weekend and I and going to help them tie a few flies. I have never seen the clouds like that down there. All the best! Phil

I'm going out with doug and jon this morning. Hopefully I'll get some video of them both fighting roosters or dorado.
Could fishing be on the up swing - I hope
