Was just down at DFW hustling some specific planting dates, and remarked to my contact that the Trips in the raceways looked a lot better than last year. He said they are, because there are fewer of them. Biologists discovered that the Triploids do not handle density as well as the Diploids.
He also told me that every fish on the premises will be in the water by mid-June due to the higher water temps. Folsom is already 5° higher than usual, and they are projecting the American River to be at 72° by the end of June.
Sounds like we will be seeing better fish, fewer of them, and highly concentrated plants over the next six weeks.
