Here's a game changer I tied up before I departed for Baja. The body is not quite full as I would like it but they work. I'll be trying the fly out tomorrow. I have them in b&W, olive/white, gray/white
The sardine's are non-existence right now so we are relying on ballyhoo and hookless top water plugs to tease up the fish. Dorado hookups are hit and miss.
I'll know more tomorrow and will post photo's of the fly in action

Hey Jay, put a half beak on it and skip it across the water and It will get slammed! The Oregon guys are chomping at the bit to get down there. Go catch your 100lb rooster already, Mems.

No! I hope you never get the 100 # rooster because then you will quit and who will I fish with?

Mems, I hope to catch a rooster period. Fishing has been tough the past few days. I was talking to a few guys from ID who are here for the first time. I told them to rid the trout mentality. A fast quick strip, slap the fly on water if the dorado come close to the boat
skip it across the surface and hopefully a eat. They must of done everything right they both got dorado today, not big but it's a dorado. I'm going out tomorrow and Saturday and hopefully I'll find my big ?????? I'll settle for a wahoo. Need something for dinner tomorrow.

Phil,
At this rate I'll be back year after year. Not a lot of roosters hanging around but what they are catching they are small 10/14lbs.
I'll find out what's happening tomorrow. If I catch fish, I'll post a report with photo's, if Efren can figure out my camera.
