Walt is 93 now and his brain is 100%.....probably better than mine.

Walt was a master baker in Stockton and Sacramento.

He was a baker in the US Navy on an attack transport ship in WWII. They were in major landings in the South Pacific.

He worked with Fenwick, Orvis and Sage as a fly fishing instructor.

He worked with Jimmy Green on fly rod and fly line development back in the day.

Walt was one of the founding members of our local Sacramento fly fishing club, California Fly Fishers Unlimited.

He worked at our shop too.

He is most noted as a coastal Steelheader of the Greatest Generation.

You can see him being intervened in the movie, Rivers of a Lost Coast.

He can't drive and can't walk very well now.

If you know Walt, maybe you could give him a phone call?

I know he would love hearing from old friends.

Please try to get this info to any of his old fly fishing partners.

Really enjoy learning about folks of that vintage. Do you have his snail mail address? Would
like to send him a card.
Best,
