I guess that this change is to bring in the American Shad and maybe Stripers? Not sure though........

That's the best news I've heard in awhile. It sure will help to bring them in. Tough to find spots to fish for shad with enough current.

It's definitely to push out more steelhead and salmon smolts and not to bring shad and stripers in.

The agencies in control either have no obligation (BOR/DWR) nor interest (CDFW/USFW) in optimizing conditions for these latter two species of fish in CA.
