It is fun to watch all the controls that the pilot has to adjust.

I have been very lucky to fish remote places in BC, Labrador, Brazil and Alaska where I flew in these fine aircraft on floats.

....for several reasons.. One is the places where you are when flying in them. Another is they are just a "plane" fun ride especially when you get to fly in the right-hand seat! Most of all is that I spent a bunch of years as an aircraft engine mechanic and did considerable wrenching on those Pratt & Whitney R-985 engines that make them fly.

The link you put led to a whole bunch of videos that sent me spinning back in time! Thanks for that Bill!
Listening to their engines on start-up, take off and cruise is a blast from the past!

Another bunch of good aircraft are the Otters that have been converted to turbine engines because you don't have to tow or paddle them into shore like a Beaver when you land in the Boondocks (no docks), just reverse the pitch on the prop and back-up to the beach! No wadin' or paddlin' involved!

A real luxury ride compared to being landed on a hilltop in a Super Cub.
Seeing the YouTube brought back very fond memories, thanks for sharing!
