Hey Jeff,
Yes there are fish being caught. It been going on for about two weeks now. Most seem to be caught nymphing so you might have to bust out the bobbers :)
Not sure about top water or swinging soft hackle. Last year I was out there with a friend also Jeff hehe and I hooked into one swinging a leech I guess give anything a try and see if you can hook one. I might go up there soon being I ended up not going to the Rouge being it was blown out and as of now I have some little work keeping me local.

Hey Aron,
Right on! Thanks for the info. Bobbers and poopahs were the plan. Hopefully a few on top.
I thought you'd be out trying to beat Ching for the first shad of the year! ;)

I will make my way down to the American. With the rains though I have been getting a few shad flies tied and some soft hackle stuff. Maybe gonna tie some salmon flies soon :D

David it's why it posted MOST not that all fish are caught under a bobber or on the swing.
Lately I've only been nymphing, but nearly half my fish have been caught on the swing at the end of my drifts. So according to my luck your both right! Haha.
