Thermolito Forebay?

Next week I will be in Yuba City getting my boat serviced, and have 5-6 hours to kill. I thought I'd try the Afterbay for bass or trout. Where is a good (and safe) access point for a 'toon? Any advice appreciated, thanks!

Anyone with a better idea of easy water close to YC--love to hear it. Thanks again.

The main access is off Hwy.162. Take Hwy 99 north from Yuba City, then head east about a mile or two on 162. There is another access of Larkin but I think the main access is better.

You might watch the weather next week too as rain and wind might still be in the forecast.
