The Trout Derby is March 29, 30.....with the water temp. at 58 degrees yesterday the trout have moved to the bottom of the lake, and the bass are starting to move into the shallow water. Some of the GBF members caught some trout and some bass.....but.....for me catch of the day was a couple of taco's and 3 baskets of strawberry.

Does anybody know what water temp. the DFG stop planting trout in a lake?

I seem to recall 70° was the cutoff for planting.

The water there is pretty clear as a rule so use a longer leader and maybe a smaller fly?

Gene,
Nice picture! I want to go fishing where you fish. What was your catch biting on? I would imagine 5's or 10's. Some times catching fish isn't the most important thing about going. Just enjoying the moment!
