Went to Point Reyes yesterday with my daughter and her best friend. Look what came out of the waves right in front of us.

Wonder how many salmon one of these eats in a day?

Good Video Bob... I wonder what one of those weigh and how many calories a day it takes to fuel it.....

Hi Frank,.... A beachmaster (large male) weighs in around 2,000 pounds and can be around 8' or more in length. Did some clamming around Ano Nuevo Point during the late 60's and early 70's. It was at that time they would arrive, en masse, for breeding. They literally covered a portion of the beaches and, if you didn't get too close they wouldn't bother you.

Now it's a protected area. Can't clam there any longer while the seals are there. :cool:
