I guess they should be out on most sunny afternoons?

Fishing is still pretty slow, but there are some fish eating skwala nymphs at the lower end of the big riffles. Saw a few adults crawling around in the rocks... Just a matter or time...

Hogan:

Did a float Saturday afternoon. After 2 we rose 6 fish cruising the tail outs and off currents.

It's LOOOWWW, though.

Gotta be careful of redds and other fishermen in the riffles. They were like bowling pins (the fishermen, not the redds) in one riffle. Mowed 'em down in the Clacka...

Also picked up a few fish swinging. Overall it was a pleasant (if not super productive) day.

I was out there all day today. Saw one skwala with an egg sack. zero fish. Water was low and clear and the fish were spooky.

Grant good to hear you had a good day. I have been on the L. Sac the last few days but back to the L. Yuba later this coming week.

Skwala Unit dry producing.

Unreal trout stalking off the bank with good numbers the last few days.

Good to see the skwala hatch is actually happening this year. Taking my PAC 12 out this wednesday to pop it's cherry.

Had a great time there today. Got 5. Three were silvery with olive backs like John's fish above. One was dark red with so many spots is looked black when it jumped. One had a yellowish gold tint on it's sides. All between 16 and 20". Not many skwalas where I was.
PMDs? (pink size 16) and smaller BWOs where hatching mid day. Water temp 47
There were only 4 of us out in the area I was fishing. I had my run to myself all day.
It was nice to meet a FFer fishing with a beautiful Bradly cane rod and using dries too.
Awesome day.
