I'd sure like to see a better picture of that fish. Looks like quite a toad. White sea bass close to shore seem unusual too?

Hey David. Was it a blind bite or did you cast to the fish?

Blind . I was covering the bank and catching Grouper , then covering the channel and catching Shortfin Corvina . This one ate , I thought another Corvina , but I couldn't lift it at all . I was lucky on two points - the first , that the Fish ate a 2 1/2 inch long Clouser , and second .... that it didn't bolt 300 yards into the Bay . I wasn't worried until I finally saw how big it was . You can imagine how going from a reasonable 15 or so pounds , to three times that .... can mess with ones' Head a little .
