I spent almost 50 years behind the counter in a sporting goods store and it has been wonderful.
I have met many wonderful people, some who have been life long friends.
Even yesterday, at the new location at 'Fishwest Sacramento,' I met a guy from out of town who also loves tropical flats fishing.
It was really great taking to each other about our favorite locations over the years.
He gave me a few ideas for new places and I did the same for him.
Some of my best friends, the old Geezer Patrol, where a dozen or so old timers who are part of the Greatest Generation and the age of my parents, helped me with my fly shop for years. Some of them are gone now with a few really old and hanging on. Without them I don't think i would have made it this long. They were really like uncles to me.
Most everyone is lucky who comes to this forum because we love the outdoors and enjoy the those who also feel the same.
