One of the main reasons I still enjoy coming to the shop helping gout is to see my staff and run into my customers who are in many cases old friends.
I never know who is going to come through that front door.....
Yesterday I had a nice time chating with a true outdoorsman, Charlie Swanson, who spent much of his life in the commercial flooring business.
As a young man he played professional baseball until an accident ended his career. When I see Charlie I always instantly remember him from decades of talking with him in all the old sporting goods stores I worked at in the past almost 50 years.
Charlie, in his 70s, is still extremely active doing lots of exercise to stay in shape plus hunting and fishing.
Being retired my wife and I will miss these wonderful people more than anything else......
