Hi Folks, My partner and I had some steelhead success floating the Feather River on Monday. We hooked about a dozen fish between 3 to 6 pounds landing 7. It took a good guide, a long float including both the low and high flow portions of the river and careful working of all the riffles, generally both sides to get those numbers. All the fish except one took an egg /bead. The fishing pressure was pretty heavy for a Monday with a lot of drift boats on the water and on some spots having to take turns to fish some of the riffles. From what we could see and heard from conversation with the others we did as well, probably better than the others fishing. It felt really good to hook into a good number of fish like that.
