An article in the SacBee, today, reports that Yolo County, among many others, has demanded payment of reimbursement for property tax revenues lost due to the state acquisition of county land for use by agencies such as DFW. The article reports that the required payments have been suspended due to economic crisis in this state since 2001. Check it out:

Aside from the fact that the state routinely saddles county's with expenses for administering provisions of laws that it passes but is unwilling to pay for, this situation should give warning to county's neighboring the Delta about the promises made by the state to reimburse them for revenues lost due to impacts in the BDCP. One more potential negative of the BDCP. :cool:
