Love it!
Chase that baby downstream for that afternoon jog.

You could tell in the first 5 secs, that guy was probably going to get schooled by that fish. lol

Needs more drag.

This appears to be right behind the Patagonia store in Reno.

Dave, no amount of drag really works with these fish.
I use Galvan reels (Great drag) but end up mostly palming my reel.
Once these fish get the rod bent hard on a tight drag, you can lose them with one good head shake or>>>>>> lightning break.
Holding them "softly" (Giving ground) allows the rod to absorb sudden shocks to tippet. (Think 4x and an aggravated 10Lb fish....in heavy current.)
We run a lot here.....and not always downstream....
I say, before you make a perfect cast, and a perfect drift, with the perfect bug, look where you are going to run....
Then.......don't just stand and watch, run!

Not sure if you saw the redemption video. Bigger brown trout. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DGC7MAYlRro
Sometimes you just have the put the wood to em! Let them run if you have to, but don't let them get into a chute of fast water.

Cyama, So true!
We often see them swim directly to the fast water as trick #1.
That is bad enough.....but then, they turn side-ways so the whole river is pushing on maximum surface area.
They make you fight the river as well.
These fish are good.....
