Here are a couple of pictures from a two day float we did on the lower Sac. It started as a Trinity trip but it was tough there. We got no runs, no hits and barely put the ball in play so we cut our losses and went to Redding. We got some nice trout there and at the last fishable spot above the takeout we hooked two steelhead. One got off on a jump downstream of the boat and the other got his picture taken. They looked a lot like a buck/hen pair. I have heard of lower Sac steelhead for a long time but never a lot of details and never first hand reports. It was kind of like catching a rumor. Unexpected and a very much a trip maker when the takeout is in sight.
