I just talked to Andy and he said he got a 16 and 20 incher yesterday in the mid-Lower American River on his Spey rod.

12 or 13 inches is my biggest so far this season swinging flies. Still looking for something a bit bigger.

I went out 4 time in the past month and got a few 6 inchers.

Maybe some have come in now?

Usually around the third week in Nov is when you start getting some nice steelhead. The Feather is sooner but as long as there are a bunch of salmon still spawning and alive it makes it real hard to fish for the steelhead in there. But all in all we plain and simple need more rain not just super cold fronts coming in.
