Hit Shasta area last weekend for 2.5 days of fishing, lovely trip.
Friday 11th: Upper Sac: tried some new spots and hit one run where connected with few nice fish high sticking (two fly set up, most fish on micro-may).
Sat 12th: Fished McLoud for first time, beautiful place. Access and wading was bit too hard for me, had 2 knee surgeries and have to take it easy. Anyway, got a few small fish and loved the experience.
Sun 13th: Upper Sac, best day of the three - landed some lovely bright rainbows high sticking and indicator fishing.
All in all great trip, saw some Oct caddis but didn't see fish taking them off the top, was may be a little too early. US in great shape, was the first time I've really tried High Sticking, was great to get some consistent success.
