Well the highlight of my week (except for a couple days spent on the Upper Rogue) was sharing a couple of days on the Lower Sac with Jim from the Bay Area and his son in law Dave visiting from Texas. The first day we had everything stacked against us, wind, improper equipment and a steep learning curve. When the wind slowed and we could get a good drift we got hit. We had decided to stay away from the zoo in the upper river so we floated Anderson to Barge Hole. Hot bugs were eggs, pupa, small mayfly patterns.

The next day we made an equipment change and casting improved greatly. We decided to look for a couple of fish over 20" so we floated from Bonney to Anderson. Dave got his big fish early in the day ( ok technically it was 19.5" ) Jim found his later in the day (so he didn't actually land that fish but he had it at the side of the boat a couple of times and we all saw it so we are counting it.)

All in all a couple of really fun days with a couple of really fun guys, cant wait to do it again.

There are some pics as well as an Upper Rogue Report with pics on my site for those interested.
