Lee Wulff, with his Piper Super Cub float plane, was hired by the Labrador government to find the best remote fly-in Brook trout area many years ago.

Lee was with outdoor/sports reporter Curt Gowdy so this was probably an American Sportsman TV show.

We have been very lucky to be able to go there, mostly because Joe Shirshac had a thing for big Brook trout on dries.

Coopers' Minipi Lodges has 5 lodges, all on different lakes, that all run together with a big river system.

A few years ago I got to finally go to their old origianal Anne Marie Lodge, which was Lee's favorite.

It was a very emotional trip for me......huge history there.

Their guides are Inuit people who are the best back woodman I have ever met.

The difference here is that you catch Brook trout that average 4 pounds on large size #6/8 green drake dry flies.

Brookies to 7 pounds are caught every summer.

The other fish is the Northern Pike which is pretty spectacular on poppers in the bays.

This was shot in 1986 on 16 mm movie film. It was transfered to VHS and them now transfered to DVD.
