Once again I will be doing stillwater clinics at the Mammoth Lakes Fly Fishing Faire held by the Federation of Fly Fishers this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Last years clinics were very successful and this years clinics should also be a great success. I will be taking students down to Crowley Lake, (Six Bays Area) and giving them hands on instruction how to fish from the shore line. The Fall is the very best time of year to fish this area and there are many large fish running along the edges of the drop offs looking for bigger meals like leeches, perch fry and chubs. This is a great opportunity to fish some larger patterns either by stripping from shore or indicator fishing bigger patterns like size 6 to 10's.
The faire will have many different hands on instruction for other waters also including many of the popular streams in the area. There are many classes to attend and hand on instruction for casting by some great instructors.
