Fall River Reports?

I may get the chance for one more trip the first two weeks of October and I am wondering how the Fall is fishing now? Any educated guesses on the October hatches?

Even with work piling up (better than the last few years) I still hope to break away fro a few days and The Fall still seems to "call" me.
Any advice?

I fish the Fall every October..was going this weekend but last minute cancellation. However, I have success mostly in the morning using BWO dry with a small #20 beatis dropper (slim body) or even micro may nymph. The fish usually rise around 10am to 11:30. I get above them and cast down and then do the Fall River twitch (a little wrist strip movement) and bam. Sometimes I get lucky and they take the dry fly (I like the Quigley Hackle Stacker and Adams Parachute smaller sizes). In the evenings we usually see some dark caddis ...also both nymphing and on dry. Caddis emergers are a good choice..Cutters EC or even Hogan's emerger. I fish near the Big Red house or by Indian grounds. Good Luck!
