This is not good at all!! I was talking to Jeff C. and he was saying that we might end up around 500 cfs for work that will be done to the american river......... Not good at all for fish coming up.

I don't think the flows will be lowered to 500 cfs for the gravel restoration work but I just have a feeling that we might end up with very low flows on the American by the end of the year if we don't get any significant rain.

So they might keep it around at least 1K ? Either way last year we had a ton of what coming down and it was all good. But like you said Jeff if no rain it will be a pretty dry river for salmon. We will see I guess.

Rain has very little bearing on releases from Nimbus Dam and subsequent river levels especially in the fall before enough rain has fallen here and northward to have a cumulative effect...

Snow pack and its water content are what was and is missing from last year's winter water storage equation and this year's reservoir levels.

I doubt we'll see 500 cfs but nearly certain we will see 1000 cfs flows by October and perhaps even lower in November and that is NOT good for our fall salmon and/or any fish trying to spawn/hatch in the river.

Well its pretty simple rain in the valley will put some water in Folsom and maybe if cold enough some snow in the hills. Just hoping we get some decent snow and rain.

But your right steelies rain does not make it much better but I think it does help a tad bit!
