I'd just heard that they finally put in the new dock at the Tisdale ramp. There was one scheduled to be installed a year or two ago but vandals got to it and cut it up for the aluminum. So, now we finally get something more for our annual pass. Two boats can still launch or take out at the same time but it might be a little snug. They added nice hand rails to assist getting in and out of the boat as well.

Since we're already here we might as well hit the river as well and see if they're any fish around. Following a three day weekend with lots of activity usually puts a damper on the fishing for a while and today was no exception. We hit all the choice spots with hardly any grabs. Had one good follow and explode at the surface as I lifted the fly next to the boat but over-all it was slow. We moved from spot to spot and only hit previously good areas. Finally, I'm dredging deep and get my first good hook-up. Around and under the boat a few times and finally in she comes for a quick pic and then back in the water. Geez, this felt good. Aside from a couple of squawfish this was the only striper we took this morning. Maybe after a few days it'll get going again.
