My first attempt at celestial photography. This was taken from my back yard a few minutes ago.
What a gorgeous night!

I got all these tiny white dots all over my screen but they won't wipe off.

Heres another shot from last night. I was pushing the limit of exposure time on this one and there are star trails. Theres a fine line of capturing it just right! Looking forward to a sky like this again for another try.

Those are a couple of nice shots of the Milky Way...

As you're findin out... Night sky photography causes one to walk fine lines! Star trails are sometimes wanted other times not, this make exposure length problematic..sometimes a 1/4 of second will make or break a picture. Then there's ISO choices in combination with TV and AV (grainy or not, under or over exposed). During last month's Perseid Meteor show, I spent two nights out "learnin'"! I shot hundreds of photos to get two very faint meteors... I'm thinkin' I'll stick to wildlife and birds!...
