So I spent several days last week on the Lower Sac. Seemed like everyone was looking to do something different so I ended up covering the river from Posse Grounds down to Barge Hole. So here is the Readers Digest version;
The fishing is definitely Fair to Good. Big fish above Anderson and lots of smaller fish below. Already got a couple to eat eggs South of Anderson.
Most of our small streams close in October. The flows are still very doable and with the start of school the river is pretty quiet on the week days. As long as flows stay where they are fishing should remain good. If you want to hit one these gems you should do it soon or wait until January.
