Just got word from my guy in Oroville that the Low Flow flows are coming down this week to 1000 cfs. These flows should remain consistant for the Fall. We can wait and see!!! I will be drifting this week and I will post a report about it.

Just curious, did you get to fish the Low Flow yet? I will be in the area this weekend and may try a float.

There are steelhead in.........just have to work the water real good. Lots of salmon so makes it hard to try going for just steelhead. There are quite a few salmon nesting already so the steelhead should be right around the corner. Also the water is pretty cold! Good sign if you ask me.

I was there this weekend. Lots of salmon jumping. Two steelhead hooked. Didn't see any reds yet. As mentioned, there are fish there but it's early for lights out action, another few weeks and it should start getting good.

My retired guide friend Al Perryman said the freshest salmon are usually right up in the fastest current.
Then as they are in the river longer they drop back in the slower water.
So I guess if you want to catch the fresher salmon you want to be fishing in the faster parts of the river.
