Fuller is fishing quite well right now. Had a plant last week. New this year is asphalt at the dam end of the lake.
Caught tons of rubber trout.

Just one Brownie.

When you're there you may as well feed the Ospreys too. Click on the pic.

I caught maybe a couple dozen rubber 'bows, one brown, and one Osprey. Luckly the Osprey got free before had to help it. Just let it be known, this Osprey will try for your fish even when you think the fish is too close. And it doesn't know your flyline is way stronger than your leader. My bad, I wondered just how close I could get it. I stripped the fish in to about 6 ft away from me. The bird came in at an angle that caught my line in it's shoulder area, when it tried to take off again it just cinched the line and fell back into the water. When going in to untangle that damn bird I puckered so hard my head hurt. Lucky for me it's next attempt to take off threw off my line so he got free and I still had the fish on.
Two feet from an Osprey doesn't seem that bad until you're looking at those talons.
What could have been a boring trip to a put and take fishery turned into a 'Wildlife Kingdom' moment, minus the Jim Fowler to go in and fix everything.
Kind of smokey but not really bad at all. Shig you should go up there.
