Jim Christensen at the shop has been going after SMB in the north Delta for years now.
I see they are in the Sacramento River up near Chico.
They are in the entire length of the lower Feather River but the flow is high.....5,500 cfs.
Cahce Creek.....
Bear River.....
NF of the American Rvier above Auburn.....
Consumnes River.....
They seem to be in these lower elivation rivers as they com down out of the foothills into the AG land south of us too. They are best where the public can not easliy get to them.

In the West Oregon has the best rivers for SMB.
Lower Umpqua Rvier.....
Lower Grande Ronde......
John Day....
Snake River........
