How's the Bass Fishing in the Delta?

Haven't seen many reports lately for Delta bass fishing, and I haven't been out a lot myself. I did make it out for ~2 hours Sunday morning, just float tubed around parts of Whiskey Slough. It was a little slow, but still had a great time. Here's the best fish of the day, he took a 4" tan rabbit strip slider. How has everyone been doing out there?

I was talking with Al Bunch of American Fly Company who has been doing very well down there with top water LMB.

I even hear it is good mid-day in the summer? I think it is because no one is out there in the heat......but the fish are.

Was out the last two nights. Fishing was super tough till the last 30 minutes each night. Once I found the fish during the magic hour it was game on. Between the last two night I landed 7 fish up to a super hard fighting super healthy 3 lb 11oz fish. All on Top as well. Get out while you can but you will have to cover some water till you find the fish they are pretty concentrated. Pics to come.

Been out quite a bit over the last week and have found some good fishing in the later hours of the day. White seems to be the hot color for me. If you can find 6 feet or less of moving water along Tule pockets or Pennywort you are in for a good time.
