Beach morsels

I'll be fishing the beaches of Whidbey Island next week. Hoping for Pinks, maybe a stray Coho and searun cutts.

The guide says pink for pinks and little baitfish for everything else.

Jay, try something like this in chart or pink. Also small clousers chart/white or pink/white for salmon:

The fly on the left center is a version of the Pink Pervert recommended to me by Vince Staley several years ago. I have taken some large pacific coho on this fly. Do yourself a favor and dont google pink pervert. lol

Hey, Hey!!! Those Salmon make me want to get back into fishing for them again. Looks like you had a great trip. Vince shares a lot of what he's learned about fishing and is a great guy. :cool:

Nice fishies Jay. Looks like the coho fishing in SC Alaska is going to be excellent this Aug / Sept. The Cook Inlet commercial fishery has caught over 157,000 so they either got them all or it is a strong run. I am hoping for the later. Only problem I have with coho is that I have to break away from the big rainbows to go chase them.
