I am selling my custom, hand crafted wooden fly boxes. I search out the most beautiful woods I can get my hands on, both domestic and exotic. I look for the most unique colors and interesting grains. I machine them by hand, hand sand them to 1000 grit and finish with multiple coats of marine grade SPAR urethane. I follow that up with a unique polishing process that brings the wood to a glass-like finish. Theyre outfitted with miniature brass box hinges and mighty magnets for hardware.
I am offering these flyboxes with your choice of rippled foam from Millstream, or my signature rippled cork inserts. If you do not specify, I will use the cork. The ripple cork compliments the natural wood very nicely and is what I recommend.

These two boxes are spalted maple. Spalting is actually a phase of rotting in a tree that creates interesting lines and colors along the grains. There is a very fine line in harvsting spalted wood before it is too rotted to use, but rotting enough to get the beautiful markings. These boxes are from a gorgeous piece of stable, spalted wood.
