Bill K asked where we were all going to go since the weather has been warming up so much lately and I said I was going to get "high"... as in elevation, which it what I did. I grabbed some freeze dried grub, mini tent, sleeping bag, fly gear and rods, stuffed it all into my backpack and hit the trail. Several miles and some elevation gains later, I was rewarded with this view:

The fishing was solid for tail walking, hard fighting rainbows in clear, and COLD mountain water. Here's a typical resident:

...and another:

I also had a great place to camp, overlooking the stream and meadow, under an old cypress tree, with a night time sky full of stars and the cries of the coyotes as the moon rose in the sky. Here's the view from my camp late in the afternoon:

The days went by all too fast, I fished and hiked to my heart's content, but a soft bed, a hot shower and a cold beer were nice amenities to come home to. Cheers!
Sorry... no mountain lion sightings, hunting rants or anything controversial or flame-worthy...just some fly fishing.
