Hi Mike

Anything from Bodega Bay north to the Oregon border would be fine.

I love the CG at MacKerricher, and Van Damme beach is nice too (unsure of hookups) There is a KOA at Manchester that I usta stay at as well. Further North, ya can't beat Redwood Nat'l Park, for the Elk out the front door if nothing else.

My family and I just got back 3 nights at Hendy Woods state park in Philo. It's beautiful, quiet with sites that are quite private; and it's a half hour from the coast. No hookups but it does have showers. It's a great place to use as a base camp for exploring anywhere from Gualala north.

Not necessarily an RV park, but i believe Prairie Creek State Park north of Orick has a few sites with hookups... Can't really beat the location with lagoon fishing nearby, elk, and lots of mellow hikes through the tall trees. I'm sure there are some in Crescent City near the ocean but nothing specific comes to mind.

A few miles north or the CA border will get you to Harris Beach State Park near Brookings OR (http://www.oregonstateparks.org/index.cfm?do=parkPage.dsp_parkPage&parkId=58). They have RV sites with hookups; some of the sites have views of the ocean.

I don't know of any rv campgrounds with hook ups that are north of San Francisco on the coast in California.

Let me know if you go to Casper Bill. The wife and I may take a day to get over and say "howdy".

Bill, Casper is right by the water but gets cold, windy, and foggy. The nicest RV park in the Fort Bragg Region is Pomo. Its on Hwy 1, just at the south end of Fort Bragg... http://www.pomorv.com/ Have spent many weeks there.

The people who run Pomo can be pretty strict (that's a nice word, not the one I wanted to use) to the point of yelling at my kids for riding their bikes...safely..at a safe speed. Will NEVER camp there again...EVER.
