Had to get another Davis Lake fix, first day water temp. 62 degrees after the storm, last day water temp. was 76 degrees at 11 am....the water is to hot for catch and release. The AM bite was good the first couple of days if you knew where the fish were, the 11 AM damsel grab was good....BUT....you had to pick the right willows to fish, the PM till dark dark was unreal some nights if you was in the right place.
I caught some very nice fish on this trip, the black wiggle tail on a floating line worked in the AM and PM in the dark dark, the 11 AM damsel grab was a great fix....but....you need to be in the right spot to make it happen.
A fishing guide will put you into the right spot at the right time, and help you understand how to find these place's yourself.
I seen lots of damses flying around, and every night i saw hex's coming off at dark dark.
My best fishing buddy, my wife.

Keep the trout in the water for a photo.

This is what you need to find when the water temp. gets warm.....this place had 30ft. of water a 100 ft. away from it, with lots of olded weed beds close by.
