Good Bye June

June was a great month in the Valley!

We are very lucky to have three rivers so close to home (Sac) to chase our favorite game fish on the fly. I was lucky enough to be able to be on the rivers 3-5 days a week for the month of June. Fishing early morning trips, my boat had a 12-fish to the boat average for the month. No giants this year for me, but lots of hard-fighting eager fish from 6" to 14#. Thanks to all who joined me. Special thanks to my Wife, Sage Rods, Galvan Reels, and Rio Lines. And to Costa Sunglasses who let us see through the water like nothing else.

Maury, Thanks to you and the other local river guides for making our striper pursuit much easier. The quality of fishing is so much improved. Why, I'm beginning to even like you a little (LOL). Thanks to river flow and tenacious guides, the later part of this year turned out well. If you haven't fly fished for stripers, it's a bucket list item for sure.
