On average every stream has about a month when it is prime in the spring/summer in Nor Cal's mid-elevation.
For many streams that time is now with this low water year we are having.
June is a good month to remember for an average timing for many of these streams.
On a draught cycle it can be May/June.
On a big snow pack year it can be June/July.
Mid-summer we can hit the higher elevations in Nor Cal or go to Montana?
Timing is everything for me.........being there when it is really on beats skill at times.
You can go too early and too late if you fish 100 days a year for trout in streams but if you don't have that schedule you better check here to help plan a good trip this summer.
