Bill........fished the lake Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Frid and Sat. Good blood midge hatches with some fish working them in surface, but many more on larvae. Also saw a few damsel nymphs swimming and an occasional fish working them. We saw no adult damsels, just some nymphs swimming towards banks. Also lots of callibaetis in afternoon, but no fish action on them.

Sat. We had a great day hooking fish on midges in the morning and damsels until about 1:00 pm.

Sunday was not as good because winds came up early and slowed things a little.

Looks like warm weather is getting things started early at Davis, but major damsel migrations won't happen until weeds get closer to surface. Fish are healthy and strong. This weeks weather front moving through will effect things a little, but not much and by weekend it should be good again.

Bill,
Thanks for the report. As you know Don is one of the most experienced anglers in the area at Lake Davis. His web site is extremely informative. It covers all of the hatches and some great techniques. For those of you that have not seen it, take a look. He has many pages of great stuff. www.flyfishwithdon.com (http://flyfishwithdon.com)
