Day 1 of 6 fishing for roosters in La Paz, BCS MX with Jay Murakoshi is over. I got one 6# rooster and a lady fish early. Allen Tigert got a jack about 4 # and then we found lots of roosters and some big ones. They were mostly singles and pairs which makes the catching tough. We had lots of follows and even a few eats. I missed two and dropped another 15# fish and then connected with a 20# fish. Al missed a couple and also pulled the fly right out of the mouth of a fish Efren said would have gone 60#. YIKES! A beautiful day with just a little wind and not very hot by local standards but us Alaska boys were dying.
