Grass moon apogee.
Beneath, Leo ascending.
Slicks and glides fecund with fish.

Rhitogenia morrisoni.
With the heart of Regulas,
silver sides rise.

No time for lunch.
No time for afternoon coffee.
River ablaze once more.

Tony,

I had a very similar afternoon on the 7th, 1:30-4:30 PM

A single fish taken on a March Brown wet, drifted under a Skwala dry, and 4 more to hand swinging the same MB wet or a Partridge and Orange soft hackle. The cool thing is that I had more "grabs" on the swing than I can itemize - maybe 15-20?

I've only really started to fish the Lower Yuba since November, and this was my best session to date.

I think the hot tip, at least where I was, would have been MB emergers or possibly cripples. I only saw a single fly in the air and none on the water's surface as the birds and fish were utterly hammering them. NO love shown to the Skwala, even though I had two of them crawling on me almost immediately after I entered the water.
