I use a Lifeproof case for my iphone and can guarantee that it works. My iphone went swimming with me for about 5 minutes of total submergence. Came out just fine, plus it is also drop proof and very slim.

Not for me. If you are at the expo look for me and you can try it out. I love it and it has already paid for itself a couple times.

I'll second the Lifeproof case, and agree that it hasn't given me any sound problems. I've tested it twice on purpose (takes a leap of faith to submerge your iPhone in the sink) and it hasn't missed a beat. I've also dropped it on plant floors several times without damage, something I can't say about some others. Expensive, but worth it.
