The waters are all pretty low and very fishable now.
Caddis are hatching so fish deep with larva, or swing pupa and even dries at times.
Some are fishing salmon smolt and sculpin patterns in a sink-tip.
There are resident trout, mostly wild Rainbows, small Half-pounder Steelhead (12-16") and even some larger (3-5#) spring run wild Steelhead in these rivers, just below the first dam from the ocean.
This would be the Lower Sacramento, Lower Feather, Lower Yuba, Lower American and others south of us coming off the west slope of the Sierras.
Be sure to check the regs for closures.....barbless for sure.
Put your gear in your vehicle and go after work.......
