Recommend surf-fishing guilde near Del Mar in April?

We're taking the kid back to Lego Land and will stay in Del Mar for about a week on spring break.

I've fly-fished in the surf there before without much luck, except 1 guitar fish (mercifully ldr'd after 15 minutes of almost bringing him to hand -- what would I have done then?? Like when a dog actually catches a squirrel!).

In any event, I suspect a few hours with someone who knows what they're doing would make a big difference.

Can anyone recommend a guide in that area?

Suggest you talk to John H @ the San Diego Fly Shop in Solano Beach - just north of Del Mar. You can get an idea
of what the action is like by checking the "fliflicker" web site. Our perch bite has slowed a bit over the past several
weeks due to cooler water temps. Did get several chunky ones (pregnant?) yesterday. San Diego bay has been
fishing pretty good if you want to spend the money on a guide/boat. Again, see the "fliflicker" site.
